Sophoun, a female college student from Cambodia, discovers through a chance viewing of an old film that it stars her own mother in her youth. The last reel of the film went missing during the dark Khmer Rouge days when many filmmakers were killed. To honor the memories of the murdered filmmakers and to support Cambodian cinema and women's independence in society, Sophoun is now determined to remake the missing reel.
