Story

If ANGIE wasn’t so self-sabotaging, she could have been one of Australia’s leading musicians. Now in her forties, she finds herself with no money and terminally ill, having to perform in a seedy bar to fund the recording of her final album. When teenage runaway RUBY enters her life, the two form an unlikely bond as Angie teaches her to write a song as a way to deal with the past... but RUBY becomes reliant on ANGIE, and it becomes unbearable for ANGIE to tell her new young friend that she only has months to live.
