Filmmaker Chihiro Ikeda received a request from Fukuroi City, Shizuoka Prefecture, to “make a
film with the children from the city.” With unmotivated junior high students, grade school girl aspiring to be filmmakers, and grownup staff in support, conflicts abound. The camera follows their hardworking summer of struggle and creativity.
