Haiku on a Plum Tree

story: Italian cultural anthropologist, Fosco Maraini lived with his family in Japan for researching Japanese culture. His grandchild, Mujah Maraini-Melehi traced family’s imprisonment ordeal happened at the detention camp in Nagoya during WW II. The movie reflects the memory of the family and the history into present days.
And the pure and serene music of Ryuichi Sakamoto help audience deepen the understanding of messages lying in the movie.
