Tomoaki Sunada is a Japanese “salaried-man” who has invested his life into his career as a sales representative during the milieu of rapid economic growth in the country. He was famous in his company for his thorough planning and organization. Upon discovering that he has incurable cancer, he assigns himself a last project to bring a conclusion to his life -- the planning and organization for his own death and the creation of an “Ending Notebook”.
