KANJYUKU-ZA started when the media began to focus on the upcoming mass retirement of Baby Boomers in 2007. Most of the fourteen members (aged 58 -69) had no acting experience. Motivated by different reasons, members started from the very basics. By drawing on their life experiences in building the characters, they worked hard for seven months to achieve the goal of letting the dreams blossom in their first ever stage performance.
